An Interview and A Giveaway

Hello everyone! A few things to talk about today. First, I’d like to thank Nicholas Taylor for recently interviewing me on his blog. Nick is a fellow indie author, and the chances are very good that if you’ve discovered my book, you’ve seen the cover of his floating around quite near it. He and I are part of the same cluster of fantasy books that have made a name for themselves on the free and discount book racks. I really appreciate him taking the time to ask me a few questions and share the answers. Head on over to his site to check them out, and while you’re at it, consider reading his book!

Now, followers of my Facebook Fan Page were recently given the chance to win a copy of my brand spanking new audio book of Jade. After managing to giveaway something*, I announced that I’d be doing two more giveaways. One would be right here on my blog, and another would be via twitter. Well, the time has come for the blog chunk of that trifecta. If you’d like a chance to win the Jade Audio Book, all you need to do is leave a comment in reply to this post. Say whatever you’d like. On February 25th, one week from today, I’ll pick the name of one of the people who commented and reply to the email address associated with the comment informing you that you’ve won. I’ll also do a post congratulating you.

And what do you get? Well, a copy of the Jade Audio Book, of course! But you’ll also get any and all of my currently available eBooks that you’d like. How you get them will be worked out via the email. So go ahead and leave a comment. Each person gets one entry, so please don’t feel the need to spam. And if your comment doesn’t show up immediately, don’t worry! I personally read and approve each comment before it makes it on the site, so if yours hasn’t shown up, it is probably sitting in my inbox waiting to be given the thumbs up. Good luck everybody!

* What the winner got wasn’t what I’d intended to give him, and the thing I did intend to give away has yet to find someone ready, willing, and able to accept, but that’s being dealt with.)

Thank you for the giveaway but most of all thank you for a series that I started to share with my grandchildren. The stories are one of those that the children do not want me to stop reading. Please continue to help us “old timers” enjoying “reading time” with the younger generation by writing more and more stores that are entertaining and “awesome” as I was told. Thank you again.

I would really love to get a chance at winning the give away. I have never used an audio book and would really like to try that aspect of “reading” to escape daily life and go someplace new, fun, and exciting. I have been a fan of Deacon and would love to see what’s next.

Anyway, I would beg you to pick me, but it’s all random chance anyway….. right?
Oh, and if you have the time, could you tell me a riddle to solve about the current mysteries of the Book Of Deacon series? Thanks!

Hi there, first let me just say I really enjoyed the Deacon trilogy and look forward to the second trilogy, I also really enjoyed Jade which I just finished a few minutes ago. Although I have not published anything YET I read on average three books a week. That being said I found I really enjoyed the storylines of the deacon series and I really appreciated finding books that were not filled with course language and soft porn. As a Christian I find it increasingly difficult to find Good new material that fits those guidelines. It is very possible to write books that are both good reading for us Christian types and still be profitable. If I had one criticism to mention is that (especially in books 1 and 2 of deacon) your pacing really needs work. When you have action packed sequences that, while good, seem to go on and on and on it can leave the reader feeling exhausted and dizzy. It looks like you’ve figured that out now though because book 3 and Jade were paced and varied very well. As to your giveaway I am not Into audio books so as much as I like Jade I would rather see it go to someone who prefers or requires that format, I do however very much look forward to deacon trilogy two. Just my 2ยข. FuzzeeDee out.
