Thanks for the comment. I've got a feeling I lose a lot of people early in the book. Book 1 is very uneventful until Entwell comes along. I'm glad you stuck with it, and that you found the rest of the story to be worthwhile. Thanks for reading!

Hi, just finished the third book of deacon, I have to be totally honest, I found the first book so slow starting, I almost didn't get to entwell, but after that I couldn't put it down, and got through all three books in just under 6 days, brilliant stuff, I just hope you keep writing.
Many thanks for a great story.

I have really been into series books, but especially fantasy books, in the last couple of years. After buying and reading The Lord of the Rings, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Immortal Instruments, Fifty Shades, Twilight, and many more, I was spending so much money on books that I had to find some less expensive books to read. There were many books priced at $0.00 or $0.99, and after reading only portions of many of them, I knew why. I typically try to read at least 50% of a book, to give it a chance, before I decide if the story is just not going to get any better. I stumbled upon The Book of Deacon and decided to give it a try as well. I was very surprised at how much I loved the book. It was hard to put down and I just purchased The Great Convergence. Your books belong at the same level as the more expensive books that I have read and I am excited about reading the next story.

Nope, the neither of the two mysterious things have been mentioned here before... I don't think. It certainly isn't the Ayna thing, or the plushes or the posters, all of which are in one state of limbo or another.

Hahaha. Probably a good self note.

Because the thought of Ayna backstory makes me want to melt into a puddle of rainbows and happiness.

(* Note to self. Don't mention stuff like that until it is closer to completion.)

I'll give you the rundown of what it is. While I was writing the Lain story, I kept getting really bummed out, because, well, it has some really sad parts. To cheer myself up I was writing a little Entwell thing, with nothing specific in mind for it. It started turning into a series of backstories for some of the Entwell wizards. The ones I finished were Ayna and Calypso. Probably Solomon would get one too.
