Phew! It has been an intense few weeks while I buckled down to get the last of Lain Origin written. Right now the book is in the hands of four beta readers. They will give me feedback on the story and on the comments I’ve left in the text, and based on that info I’ll make a few final decisions and adjustments, then send it off to the editors. Nick has already been contacted about doing the cover, so for now it is just a waiting game until the first feedback starts rolling in. Now, what to do in the mean time…
How ’bout I play with this!
Something fell out of my brain and onto the bed! Also, I need a better camera.
I am now the proud owner of my very own funk plush! Like Solby from the books, he’s a prototype. In the months ahead I’ll have to figure out what it takes to get this little guy made into something more numerous and less expensive. Assuming there are enough of you out there who want him, of course. The artist is taking a breather and dealing with real life right now, so any future plushes will be on hold, but if you’ve got any questions about the little guy, I’d be glad to answer. For instance, to his left there is one of the paperbacks for size reference, illustrating that he’s about a foot tall. … But what’s that over on the right?
14 CDs, 16+ hours, 100% Book of Deacon
Available starting April 22nd, that there is an actual physical copy of the Book of Deacon audio book. You can actually pre-order them now, and afterward they’ll be available on iTunes, Amazon, and Audible. I actually haven’t listened to it yet. I haven’t even opened it. The second and third books should be out in the next two months.
So what’s next on the agenda? Well, I was asked if I would submit a short story to a collection, so I might try to get one of those done. The next serious book I want to start working on, though, is another sci-fi, or maybe polish up the Super Hero book I did for NaNoWriMo. Before that, though, I’ve got some serious work to do in order to get BrainLazy.com back on its feet. So very much to do.
Anyhoo, until next time, thanks for reading.
