Hi, everyone. It’s going to have to be a quick one today, because I’m trying my darnedest to succeed at NaNoWriMo for the second year in a row. I’m creeping up on 30,000 words right now, and it’s becoming clear that my tendency toward excessive verbosity is working both for me and against me. On one hand, once I get into a groove the words just fall out of me. On the other hand, I need to write a full story, not just 50,000 consecutive words. That means it needs not only a beginning and a middle, but an end as well. I’ve got to hit the end of the plot before the end of November, so some ideas are going to have to be cut for time.
That said, I’ve got some cool stuff on the way! The figurine sculptor is all done and just putting the finishing touches on Lain with her paintbrush. Any day now I should be able to show that masterpiece off. I’ve also got a chat on the site, after much time considering it. Unfortunately, I got it up right in the middle of a month when I can’t really hang out in it, but hey, you take what you can get. Since the goal of a chat is to get multiple people in it in order to facilitate conversation, I’m looking to prime the pump by scheduling some Q&A style chats in the future. I just need to know what days of the week and times are preferable for you.
Here’s a survey to record the days and times that are best for you!
That’s it for now! Back to writing. If you’re interested in what I’ve been writing, check out the Sneak Peek.
UPDATE: Check it out! A podcast interview by the excellent Simon Whistler has been posted over at his site, Rocking Self Publishing. If you’re interested, give a listen!
UPDATE 2: IT’S DONE!
