Great! Keep in mind, this is only if you want it autographed. If you’re just interested in a paperback copy, Amazon and Barnes and Noble are currently selling it for cheaper.

I just finished reading “The Book of Dean, Book 1” and so enjoyed the adventure. I’ve been searching for the other two books to the trilogy, but find them only for electronical download for nook, pc, etc. I love the feel of a book in my hands. Are “The Great Convergence” or “The Battle of Verril”, not available in paperback form?

  • Joseph Lallo

Hi Vickie! I’m glad you enjoyed the book! I’m afraid that the other two books aren’t yet available as paperbacks. I’m working on it, and with any luck I’ll be able to have them both out in a few months. I just need to get new covers made, and my artist is beyond backed up right now. I’ll be sure to announce when they are ready. Thanks!

  • Joseph Lallo

I’ve sent books to the UK before. Unfortunately, as you might imagine, it costs a bit more in shipping. Obviously you can buy it from Amazon (or if you just want the paperback, but if you want an autographed one, I’ll probably have to increase the shipping and handling price. I’ll look into it and drop you an email with the specifics. Thanks for the interest!

Thanks for staying so close with your fans, something we dont see from other authors. Good luck with eveything, I bet this is all turning out to be quite an addition to your already busy life!

    Jamie 🙂

  • Joseph Lallo

Thanks for spreading the word! I hope your friends and family have been enjoying the stories. I’m glad to stay close to my fans, and with any luck I will continue to be able to do so for a long time. The books have indeed made my life a bit hectic at times, but in a very good way. Thanks again!

I just fnshed the battle of verril not 30 seconds ago and i was just wondeing if you are thinking about continueing the story. I first found the book of deacon by accident while i was looking in the free e-book sectionvof the nook store. I finshed reading it and begged my mom to let me buy the other two and stayed up till 3 this morning finshing the series and im dieing to know if there will be another instalment.

  • Joseph Lallo

Hi Codie, thanks for the comment and for giving my books a try. Yes, there will be more stories in this series. The first of them will be coming out in the next few months, and is about Lain’s past. After that will be something set in the distant future of the setting, and then finally I’ll do at least one direct sequel of the Book of Deacon. If you haven’t seen it, I’ve got a short novel called Jade which is in the same setting as well.

Hi! I’ve only just recently discoverd your books while looking through the free books available for Kindle Fire HD… I love the first book.. so far.. I’ve not finished it yet; Anyway, I’ve been on this site before and have noticed talk about a Myn plush.? If this is true when will it be finished; and how can I get one?

  • Joseph Lallo

Hi. I’m glad you’re enjoying the first book! Yes indeed there has been talk of a Myn plush. It seems to be a cursed project. Every time I find an artist able to take the challenge he or she ends up swamped with other work and has to drop the project or reschedule it. I’ll keep at it though! Once it is done, it’ll probably be available in one of two ways (or first one then the other). The first would be as a handmade custom from the artist responsible. That’ll be a bit expensive and take a while. Plan B would be through the storefront of whatever plush place I end up convincing to make them. So far the closest I’ve ever come was this design sketch from artist PakajunaTufty:

  • Kierstynn B

Alrighty then. If there are any installments in the project please make sure it is posted, because I would love a Myn plush. 😀 Thank you for answering my question.

  • Kierstynn B

Haha. Okay. I finally finished the first book and i loved it… I’m in the middle of trying to get the other two books, and possibly Jade too.

  • Mary

I would just like to thank you I have read all your works so far and I am looking forward to the release of the rise of red shadow please keep up the FANTASTIC work, your books have made a dull day at work an amazing one I can’t put it down once I get reading. I hope there is more to come on the book of deacon characters and more artwork of myn
All the best and many thanks

  • Joseph Lallo

Thanks for the great comment! I’m pleased you are such a big fan of my writing, and I promise to do my best to keep the stories of these characters coming for as long as I can. And as for Myn artwork? I’ll continue to encourage it whenever possible.

  • Brenda

Hi, I would just like to thank you for writing the book of deacon. I’m little over half way through it. Im a big reader and your book is among the best i’ve ever read. I hope, you’ll keep writing.
Also one question, how is the plush myn project coming along? And would they be available outside USA?

    All the best,

  • Joseph Lallo

Hi. I’m glad you’re enjoying the book! I certainly intend to keep writing. The plush is coming along okay, but a little slowly. It is surprisingly difficult to get quick answers out of places willing to make small batches. If and when the plush is ready, I’ll certainly do my best to make them available to whoever wants them. Worst case, you’d have to send me an email and arrange something separately. I’ve done so with international shipments of autographed books. Thanks for the comment.

The Book of Deacon is indeed an awesome book. It’s currently on my shelf of fame along with authors like Pierce, Cooper, Riordan, and Tolkien. Great job creating such a complex and interesting world. I haven’t rooted for a character like Myranda for a long time. Have you ever thought about visiting any book festivals?

  • Joseph Lallo

Wow. Earning a spot with Tolkien is a real honor. Right now I’ve still got a day job, so I haven’t looked into any book festivals. I’d love to start going to them though!

  • Alicia

Finally ordering the last in the trilogy!!! My collection will be complete. Thank-you!!! (now patiently waiting for the sci-fi to go paper back….

  • Joseph Lallo

I’ll be sure to pack it up and ship it out tomorrow. Thanks! As for the Sci-Fi paperbacks, that’s a project that always seems to end up on the back burner. Must get back to it after NaNoWriMo.

  • Alicia

So funny how they’re always on the back burner, but deserve to be on the front. 😉 I’m so glad that the BoD and the sci-fi are SO completely different…I’d have a crazy hard time choosing a favorite.
